Another Beautiful Nayarit Morning

  • Mood: Everything is Beautiful..Life is What YOU Make It!

This is my type of morning.

It is only 61 degrees at 7:30 AM.

If it turns out like yesterday, and it looks like it will, we will be up to about 85 by mid afternoon.

The sky is blue and the surf is pounding.

Roosters just stopped crowing and the birds are singing sweetly.

Took my dogs for a little walk, talked to some of my neighbors and even acquired a nice peice of plywood to start a mural on.

I have a hot cup of coffee with chocolate and ready to begin working a little.

Oh no! Not yet.

Not really ready to work and the beauty of my life is that I do not have to work if I don't want to.

Have everything online that needs to be online, so I can set back and wait for people who might want my services.

If no one wants my services..oh well.

Have just about dumped the ranch idea because of a partner with a cell phone who does not answer her messages.

I do not know about the US cell phone system, but here, if you call a cell phone, they charge the caller so much for minute.

I refuse to pay the costs of leaving message after message on someone elses cell phone.

Just finished reading a book "Cell"..I think it is Steven Kings, and I it reinforced my already disturbing thoughts on cell phones.

If someone has business with me..communicate, please.

I am easy to get along with but I do not play phone games, nor chase people around.

But..I do have a nice place for small campers to camp, complete with water and stream.

Electrical connections will be in soon and it will be low cost.

It is not as romantic as the ranch, but it is a good base for people who want to explore the area of Los Cocos,Santa Cruz and San Blas.

Not right on the beach but it is with easy strolling distance and the owner will soon be creating a pathway to the beach.

He is making a nice sandy walkway to the river, lined with flowers and rocks.

It can also become a permanent space for small campers on a budget.

It is also closer to my home base and people I enjoy.

It IS a Beautiful Day...FINALLY!

  • Music:

After several days of icky cloudy skies, we finally have a blue sky day and I just hope it stays that way.

It is so great to live in Nayarit because even if I am busy or just do not feel like going out, everything I need just kind of shows up at my doorstep.

Just bought two large bananas (Platanos Machos) and never got up from the computer..Not bad for 5 pesos.

If I set here long enough, with my door open and my doggies laying in the sunshine, I will  be offered fresh shrimp, fish, cheese,a variety of other fruits and vegetables, coconut pudding, sweet bread and tamales.

I do not have to go to the grocery store unless I run out of milk and other basics.

Did well yesterday with Telmex.

I think that I finally have them trained.

The idiot box on top of my computer which controls my internet access blew out with a loud snap.

Telmex was actually out here in 2 hours to replace it.

That is really a first compared to the 4-5 day wait I had when I first set up this system with them 4 months ago.

Think that they FINALLY got the idea that if they do not service me rapidly, they have to deal with me.

It is a new concept to them, considering that all of the people here accept the bad service that the large companies and government give them.

They do not know how to deal with a woman who throws fits at them and tells them that if they do not do what they need to do..disconnect the flippen service.

HeeHeeHee.

Now that I have Telmex trained..I must train the electric company!

I need more women of my type to come down and help create the ranch and we can really show these businesses what real cowgirls and farmers are like.

We have to many people who come down in the large RV's or stay at 5-star places and do not give a damn about Mexico.

Rancho in Platanitos

Well..I do believe I did it and I am very happy.

Now I need you help.

Have acquired this 50 hector ranch and want to turn it into a campsite for travel trailer, tents, and trucks with cabovers..some small RV's allowed.

I am offering free camp space for people who want to come out and help me set this up.

I am not a slave driver and will only require a couple of hours a day with things like clearing the camp area, making rock barbques, creating garden space, etc.

This is a great opportunity for people on Social Security to live in a peaceful atmosphere, write a book, paint a picture,go hiking, fishing and horseback riding.

Bring your own horse..I have 6 stalls with concrete flooring and lots of grazing.

This will be a place where you can enjoy nature without the loud music and confussion that is in many campgrounds in Mexico.

Well behaved dogs allowed..no barking all night or chasing my cats, please !

Farmers,cowboys and working people only.

No druggies..please!

If you decide to stay awhile you can put a plam awning on your rig and have your own porch, plus you will have all vegetables from the garden and tropical fruit.

The ranch is only 3 kms from the beach at Platanitos

Please visit these pages and you will also find a page with more photos of the ranch.

I have had this blog page up for a long time and I forgot to blog!

Please forgive me.

I have been busy trying to talk myself into a rancho.

Think I have it but I am never sure until all the contracts are signed.

Nayarit Mornings

Nayarit mornings are special.

They are fresh and clear with many birdsongs filling the air.

The roosters are crowing.

The suns on the rise.

The flowers are shaking the dew from their eyes.

So much for my sorry attempt at poetry.

I just happen to love fresh feeling mornings and bird songs.

It has been cloudy and chilly for the last week and it looks like we may have some sunshine today.

It is December 24th at 7:30AM and a cool 64 degrees.

All of the snowbirds think that is hot,but for us here it is cold.

Our house are either brick or block and do not have heating systems.

Most are constructed to keep the heat out, since we really do not have a long winter, but the construction also keeps the chill inside until the sun comes out.

I do not have a big family that gets up and moving with the breakfast on the stove so I depend a lot on the sun.

It must be cold in the North right now because we have a really chilly wind blowing off the sea.

Wonder if the oyster divers are going to jump in that cold water this morning.

Oh well..that should cure any hangovers they have from yesterday.

There is a system among the oyster divers of Miramar.

They go out for oysters in the morning.

They bring their catch in about 10:30-11:00 and start to open the fresh oysters for sale.

All of the time that they are opening the oysters and selling them, they are drinking beer.

By the afternoon, most of them are fairly drunk.

In my 25 years of knowing these guys,I do not see why they are still alive.

That work alone has to take it's toll of the body and then putting down all of that beer..

But.,I don't see a high mortality rate among them and most have not aged that much over the years.

Maybe they are just pickled in salt brine and alchol ????

Amasing!!
